Watercolor Impressions, At Home and Abroad, an exhibit of recent watercolor paintings by nationally aclaimed artist, Andy Evansen will open at the FrameWorks Gallery on Saturday September 8th and run through November 3rd. The exhibit will include plein air paintings created during the artist’s travels around the world as well as around the Midwest. Evansen says this about his style: “ I strive for an impressionistic portrayal of the landscape in my watercolors. By concentrating on the large shapes and overall design, and leaving something to the imagination, the viewer is forced to interpret details. This makes them a participant in the painting, enhancing their enjoyment of it.” The show opens with a reception on Saturday the 8th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The public is invited and admission is free.
