- Outdoor Painters of Minnesota Members Show

We are super excited to be hosting this phenomenal event, The Outdoor Painters of Minnesota Members Show.  This group exhibit will showcase the work of more than thirty Minnesota Plein Air painters who work in oil, watercolor and pastel.  This is not a show you will want to miss! Please join the artists for an opening reception on Saturday November 12th from 7 to 10 p.m.   The reception is free and open to the public.  It’s a party so of course refreshments will be served.  If you can’t make the opening stop in another time, the show runs through January 7th.

Jane Weis - Mostly Rural; New Works in Oil & Pastel

"Mostly Rural; New Works in Oil and Pastel" by Jane Weis will be on exhibit at the FrameWorks Gallery and Picture Framing in St. Paul. Weis is a midwest artist whose latest work embodies the elegance of american landscapes. The show runs from September 10th through October 20th. The exhibit opens with a reception on Saturday September 10th from 7-9 p.m. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.           

All Fishes Weep

The FrameWorks is hosting a special one day event that celebrates the collaboration between local poet, Nathan Thomas and painter, Susan Solomon which resulted in the book, All Fishes Weep. Please join us on Sunday August 7th for a reception from 3-5 pm. Make sure you don't miss the poetry reading at 4 pm. The book will be available at the event and a collection of Susan's paintings will remain hanging through September 7th. It should be a real treat to hear a selection of intimate poems in Nathan's voice and view a large collection of Susan's vibrant miniature paintings. We hope you come take part! Mark Hamel - Looking In, Looking Out

"Looking In, Looking Out," an exhibit of recent oil paintings by local artist Mark Hamel will open at the FrameWorks Gallery and Custom Picture Framing, 2022A Ford Parkway in St. Paul on Saturday July 9th and run through September 3rd. The exhibit will include both a collection of still life paintings as well as plein air landscapes . Mark Hamel manages to capture the beauty of the ordinary using light and atmosphere whether he is painting inside or outdoors. The show opens with a reception on Saturday the 9th from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The public is invited and admission is free. 651-698-3372.         

Gregory McDaniels - A Prairie Year

We are excited to announce our next show, A Prairie Year, by featured artist Gregory McDaniels. Gregory uses prairie plants and landscape as inspiration for his paintings that end up being stylized yet technical, patterned and bright yet realistic. Please join us for the opening on Sunday May 15th from 3-5 PM. Gregory will be sharing a slide show of photographs from his many travels to the premiere prairies of our area.
